It Doesn’t Not Work II:
Pushing The Outer Limits of Pure Surf Design
MARCH 16TH, 2015 Brooklyn, NY: After an incredibly successful first year, SMASH Productions, Picture Farm Gallery are stoked to announce submissions are now open for the second installment of It Doesn’t Not Work Surfboard Show.
It Doesn’t Not Work is a surf craft design event that explores the process of the art & craft of surf-riding design and a presentation of experimental shapes, work-in-progress projects and tried-and-true formulas.
This is a call out to all Mid-Atlantic shapers, garage, backyard and professional, to submit their wildest and most experimental boards, alaias, handplanes, paipos and as-yet-to-be-named experiments for display and symposium at Picture Farm Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, starting April 24th,25th & 26thth.
Display your failed concepts and accidental discoveries. It Doesn’t Not Work seeks to lift the hood on surfboard experimentation and design. Boards that are proven to work, boards that are proven to not work and the thought process that lead from one place to another.
Send us your designs: Submissions of an original shape or a unique construction that you have built yourself. Extra points if you’ve built more than one, have revised the design and can show the evolution!
Submissions: Go to //itdoesntnotwork.com/submission/ to submit your wave riding apparatus. Submissions end April 10th, 2015. Please include images of each entry and please be sure to include a description of the design.
It Doesn’t Not Work will be a weekend pop-up event filled with conversation and mind expansion and will include a film screening, prizes and beer!
